I'm too sexy...

I will gladly let this kid sleep, just wish I could.

Just snoozing after a hard day at the office.. you can tell by my work attire.

I will one day be the new face of Baby Gap (once I can fit the clothes)

Naked is best.

Sleep in heavenly peace.

Truth be known, Hawken is the only one getting sleep in this house. The dogs are even finding it hard to get some shut eye since Mom is up walking around all night. Seems to me that we should pay tribute to the man that is getting the least amount of sleep: Daddy. Kobe is not only in the middle of finals for school, he has also picked up a new job at the hospital that requires him to acquire a whole new skill set AND pass a test. What won't this man do for his family? It is to our Dad and our husband that we wish an eventual "sleep in heavenly peace". We love you Honey!

Zoolander!

Hawken is pulling the "Blue Steel" look from Zoolander. Perhaps this baby has a little more of my theatrical personality than I thought.
My baby has opted for showers rather than baths...this might have something to do with the promise of a luxury Pooh body towel and a vibrating spa bed (my subtle ploy to keep him occupied while I finish my shower--pure genius!).

Check out the hands folks!

Some of baby's first pictures.

This was the first time I saw Hawken with his eyes open.

Mom's morphine has obviously not worn off. . .you can tell by the stoned look on her face.

It was so hard having him in the NICU at the hospital. I took this picture so I could still look at him after they would shew me back to my hospital room just short of a half hour visit.

This little angel's face are complimented by his expressive hands looking to share the limelight.

My baby butterfly in his little plastic cocoon. Can't wait for you to fly.

It is hard to comprehend how small a four pound baby is until you have a point of reference. Look at how small his tiny foot is compared to his Daddy's gigantic hand.

Imagine this picture underscored with Etta James singing"the first time ever I saw your face." Truly amazing!
The little guy's first moments, what must he be thinking?

Our little guy.

Our little Schmillydiggle is just four days shy of being a month old, my how time flies! He weighs a whopping six pounds and has the appetite of a champion! I can't believe that he is safely here with no complications, he truly is a miracle baby. Kobe is the best Dad in the world! There isn't anything that this Dad would not do for his son, it is a joy to watch the two of them together. Hawken likes to make lots of noises while he sleeps and although he looks peaceful in pictures, you can be sure he is sawing logs just like the rest of us.
